As with almost all of these threads, there are those guaranteeing that saw blades are quality, harden-able steel (15N20, 8670, L6 etc...), and then those who guarantee that it's low carbon or some kind.
I can't say with 100% certainty about either, but one thing I can guarantee is that 1084 from Aldo is going to be 1084, high carbon, heat treatable, quality knife steel that is easy to work with, and much more reliable.
What's more, it cost about the same as a 10" saw blade.
