OK, attempting to generate some extra funds before the baby comes end of the month, soo, some cool stuff must go.
Let's start with Terry Guinn's first balisong, stamped clearly #001 across the front of the blade. This knife is a beautiful latchless balisong, with rounded finished handle ends, Linen micarta slabs over stainless liners, Dual tang/stop pin design with Terry's innovative "Roll Pins" installed. Mr. Guinn is known well for his incredible chisel grinds, and this "American style" chisel ground Tanto profile is no exception. Shaving sharp and very sexy lines. Terry's older logo with "2000" underneat the cross is clearly etched on the back side of the blade. I wish I could put into words how smooth this bali feels. It;s almost Korth smooth, and being quieter than my Korth or Tachyons, makes this thing almost silent and very covert.
Mr. Guinn's #002 has the exact same story with a tad wider handles, lighter insert material, and of course a #002 instead of #001 firmly stamped on the front of the blade Other than those details, they are identical.
I am trying to sell these as a pair and am willing to throw in Terry's only proto bali as a bonus to whomever buys them both. The proto only has slabs mounted on one side, and the blade is an unground Tanto blank that flips like a dream trainer. The blank is stamped protoype across one side, and resembles the design of #001 and 002 right down to the cool horns. This set is a definate "backbone item" for any serious custom balisong collection. pics of proto later today.
sold!
email me for pics of the proto since "I still may not post attachment" for some reason.[/B] Postal MO's or paypal only please. Very early and very serious pieces of custom balisong history here folks. Thanks for looking!
