I have a lightly used Terry Primos El Camino with a beautiful hamon on the forged carbon steel blade and a desert ironwood handle for sale. Terry makes some of the nicest fixed blades around, and the El Camino is a mid-sized model that serves as an excellent EDC. One unique feature about the El Camino is that the main edge on the bottom is double ground in appearance, while the sharpened top swedge is chisel ground. Although I don't know what blade steel is used in this knife, I would guess that it is 1084, since that is Terry's standard, according to his website.
The El Camino listed here has been carried and used lightly, but it does not appear to have been resharpened, and the current edge on it is sharp. There is a light patina on certain parts of the blade, and there are some very light scratches on the blade and guard, but the knife is in perfect functional condition and is ready to serve as an EDC. The El Camino also includes a Kenny Rowe boot sheath which it will be shipped in, though it has been stored outside the sheath. The sheath has some scratches on its clip.
***SOLD***
The specs:
Condition: Carried and lightly used
Blade length: 4" from tip to guard
Overall length: 8 1/2"
Blade thickness: 3/16" at ricasso
Blade steel: 1084(?), forged
Blade finish: Satin
Edge: Plain
Handle material: Desert Ironwood
Sheath: Kenny Rowe leather boot sheath
For payment on this piece, I strongly prefer USPS money orders, but I will also accept PayPal or personal check if I know you. If you are paying by PayPal, I will cover the fees, but the payment has to be sent with a PayPal-confirmed address (including the green "confirmed" marker) listed in the invoice, and I will only ship to that PayPal-confirmed address. I reserve the right to wait for personal checks to clear before I ship.
I will consider a trade towards a variety of custom folders. Some custom fixed blades, such as those by Tim Galyean, Tom Krein, Jerry Hossom, John Young, and Russ Andrews, would interest me as well. Of course, in a trade for this knife, appropriate cash adjustments would be made.
I am not interested in serrated blades or production knives other than a numbered Strider RC.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
