Terry Primos tactical

I have yet to see the article (always too late, when I really need a mag) but I had ordered off Terry's website when the Tactical went on. Mine is handled in Burgandy Micarta, but otherwise identical to the pic on the site. I told Terry that I was out of superlatives that would do it justice, but for the next several days, it will be a "lap knife". It will sit on a cloth across my knees while I just sit and admmire it. Then, I will turn it over :D It is that well done.

Yup .., that's a keeper! Great looking knife and the handle finish is simply spectacular!

So Terry, did you get a supplier for Ring Gidgee? I'll bet this knife would look fantastic with that wood as the handle material.

Nope, I can't find a steady supply. Something else I'm thinking about trying is Curly Koa. It's funny how the requests for various woods cycle. The most requested wood so far has been Thuya Burl. I'm just about out of that too now. In the last few weeks requests for Arizona Desert Ironwood have been picking up.

Terry,

They have some Thuya at the Lumberlady, if you're looking for some.

Thanks for the tip on Lumberlady Joss. I may try that one out too.

I've been getting quite a bit of woods and goodies from Uncle Al (Al Lawrence), Pop (James Poplin), and Mike over at WSSI. I think I've just about cleaned Al out on the Thuya Burl, and now I'm working on depleting Pop's supply of Ironwood. :p

Thanks also to fellow forumite and new friend "Walosi" for hooking me up with an outfit in Australia for a possible load of Ring Gidgee and other Australian hardwoods.

You guys are great. :D

Watch out for Walosi. He's been known to lead the innocent astray. :D

For those that missed the BLADE article, here is the one that they featured. If TERRY thought this would ever get away, he was wrong. And let me tell you about the frustration of waiting. How about knowing that your knife was made and ready to go, but off in some photographers hands.
