...I've seen this week. I can just see Terry twilling the khukuri (I guess we are waving the cho requirement this time) around his index finger with that finger ring.
It appears that the ring has been forged into the chiruwa tang?
Can't recall ever seeing a oic or reference to an aluminium chiruwa handle either.
Aren't they usually made much like the standard handles for the rat tail tangs, cast, finished and then installed on the khuk with laha?
Looks like it would be hard to lose the grip on this one and have it go flying outta your hand.
I met a guy at the gun show and this khukuri is part of his collection. I didn't get to see it in person but he did give me one of his pics. The ring is forged or machined with the tang. I'm thinking it may be English made. The pic didn't scan very well and alot of detail was lost. The handle slabs are checkered and they're pin with three pins. The blade appears to be well made almost machined. I'm hopeing someone on the forum has one of these or can give up some info. He had guite a few WWI and II khukuris.
God bless.
