My understanding is these are no longer made and were a limited quantity. I am second owner and neither of us have carried or used this knife. It has marks under the clip that Bob explained to me as follows, "Since the parts were tumble finished, an occasional scratch such as that one is often the result. on a full custom, fewer pieces are tumble finished at a time and any scratches are removed , but not usually on a mid -tech. That one would have been from the finishing stage, BOB"
This one opens equally fast using the thumb stud or the flipper.
