Terrific comparison Edwood, thanks for showing this. I also sold my Persian as I had no need for such a blade in the line of work I do. Stay safe out there man!
 
It is probably because of the narrower width and longer taper of the blade of the Persian that promotes its increased penetration.The same with broadheads for thick skinned dangerous game based on a study by Dr. Ashby.
 
I'm going to bring this thread back to life because Ed has a shared a lot of cool tools over the years and my Persian is one of them. How about an update from users?
 
I got one, but never carry it... I prefer some of the other models that are more utilitarian

Ed follows the libre fighting systems, so the persian is almost tailored made for it. Google Scott Babb or Libre Fighting Systems for more info
 
Your photo illustrations sold your story, con-vied a message well, and a magazine editor would have cut your text to many less word. As the pictures did what pictures should do. Replace 1,000 words.
