Forged in my shop from 1084 steel. This is a new steel for me that I bought to use in damascus but I wanted to try this test knife. It worked well under the hammer, heat treated properly to Rc 58-60 and I destroyed a piece of scrap to find a fine grain. This is going to work well for me.
The handle is from a huge block of black Micarta that was given to me. It's very old, very hard and has a much tighter pattern than modern Micarta. I'm going to like this.
