Quitting for tonight. Every time I try to post and send it , I get the web site not responding note of death.

Anyway, 18" Baby Ganga Ram Special, just under 2 pounds, made by the Master Royal Kami Bura. BONE(highly polished) handle , all silver mounted. Corrected - Shine got in my eyes. (Big Smiley)

Engraved blade: One side mountains, sun, moon, I think stars, and temple.
Other side Tiger, Yak, Elephant,I think Leopard, if it is a Monkey, one heck of a long body. Alot of nice engraving marks as backgrounds.

Blade is absolutely mirror finish. Must be magic mirror. VERY sharp from the 'get go'

I wanted a special keepsake to pass down to my kids, to remember BirGorka excellent craftsmanship. I GOT IT!

Thanks, Uncle and Bir Gorka!

Wow! yes, you got it and then some. Beautiful blade, thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Greg

Yes Sir: You sure did pick a beauty for a hand down Khuk. I can't think of any one that wouldn't love that one. :)

Welcome to the club, Dale.

Take another good look. I think that handle is bone rather than spotted deer horn.

Engraving is custom and somewhat unique. One side shows wildlife native to the subcontinent -- tiger, elephant, maybe rhino, and a couple of others I can't remember. Other side (right) has Himalayas and gompa. Not the usual tashi dili stuff.

Thanks all for your kind comments and clarifications from Uncle.

I have taken numerous photos of the blade engraving and close up of the BONE handle. I have tried outside, either too bright, reflecting off the blade, or too overcast to get a good picture. Same with inside pic attempts. I'm not much of a photographer, but will keep on trying to get a good picture of both sides of the blade. I really admire the work.

I'm am completely new to taking pictures with the DC and transferring to computer, and touching them up, per say with the program that came with the DC. I'm working with that and with Pendentive's excellent tutorials. I'm at the bottom of the learning curve, on my knees, slowly climbing up. :)

Edit: I'm tempted to pay the shipping both ways, and send it back to Uncle Bill to show at the convention. Certainly would not try to bring it on the plane with me. I hate to part with it!:D

Don't press your luck. That knife has already logged 15 or 20 thousand miles via air.

I DID think of that. So many miles and as sharp as it is, didn't get the scabbard damaged. I'll keep on trying to take better pictures.:)

I am so proud of it, Bura, BirGorka and all.

Still composing letter of Appreciation.
