Test: SRKW Battle Rat vs Stihl Chainsaw

ROTFLMAO big time!
Now this is one review I can use.
Who knew the Stihl wouldn't perform in water? So much for clearing that dead tree outta the pond.:(
Maybe I'll try the neighbor's electric chain saw. I wonder if I can hook up two 50' extension cords. Hmmm....

Was the funniest freaking thing I've read in months...ROTFLMFAO! :D

Thanks Kliffy, I needed the laugh!

Very objective, great job^^ I trust we'll all be sending in chainsaws for reviewing^^
BTW the Becker BK6's on its way, along with a United Samurai 3000, which I hear is quite a blade;)
Is your friend the same fellow with that food blender sticking out of his Delorean?

Piston measurements!!!! How can you call yourself a real reviewer without mentioning piston measurements. Also, you never mentioned what octane rating for the chainsaw fuel. Oil? These are all very important factors when contemplating an EDC.
In my line of work however, a chainsaw may not be stealthy enough. Do you have any information on ways to quiet it down?
Great review.:D :D :D :D :D :D

This review was tremendously rewarding on so many different levels. I was extremely impressed by your dedication and hard work. Your analysis is on par or even better than most that I have read. Keep up the outstanding work Mr. Stump.

Great... Just F***ing Great...

Now I'm sitting here with Beer shooting out of my nose and covering my screen. I was sharpening my GB while reading... droped it on my other hand so now I'm looking for band-aids.

Fantastic Review.

So, what's next? I vote for a Milwaukee Super Sawzall VS anything. (Can't wait for the Dive Test)

Thanks,

1. Pat McManus has something to worry about.
2. I have tried concealed carry and the Stihl will draw quickly after you yank the cord. Just buy cheap jeans, is all.

I went for the Stihl with the 12 inch bar. The 16 inch tends to scare the sheeple when you whip it out at picnics or resaurants...

It’s really very informative and fair comparison, scientific at each point. I have learned a lot, many thanks!

However I would like you to complete your work with prying performance test. Since it is well known that knives exist mostly for prying (some brands at least) without such test your job, although very admirable, looks somewhat incomplete.

It also would be pretty interesting to know how your searched objects hold up in direct confrontation, so-called tactical situation.

Please keep your search!

Damn! Who is this?

I don't know how I missed this earlier. That must be the best review I've read all year!

Does the Stihl come in a non-refective, one hand-opening version??:D :D Perhaps with an Axis-lock?

I think the results are clear enough... BUSSE SUCKS! Look, people. Nine chops in over a minute? Ha! If you want performance, you have to pay for it. Carry issues aside, this test proves conclusively that real men carry chainsaws... Now, when is the Viele/Stihl Custom Collaboration going to come out?
