Tester Advise!

I don't have a model number yet so want to know if it will test in the C scale.

Make sure it's complete as possible. Make sure it is a model that can determine Rockwell C scale hardness. I see the weights but not the indenter. It might be an a separate little tube etc. For testing blades you will require a C Brale diamond indenter. You can pick one up on EBay, if you need one for another $150 and the deal would still be decent.

Looks like the standard hardness tester - you wish to make sure it has the weights and for sure the diamond point for testing Rc scales. Remember the Grizzly hardness tester is $750 (plus shipping). Grizzly has replacement diamond tips for $350!!!!!! I've seen diamond tips on ebay for MUCH less, but don't know if they work with your tester or not.

Good luck - "IF" it works, $150 is a steal!

In order of importance:
Rockwell C scale
Has all three weights and hanger
Has the anvils
Has a good penetrator
Instruction manual

First three are a big deal.

IIRC, I have a spare accessories kit for one of those.
