Testing BAS, YCS and kothimoda

Onkel, you read my mind. I guess one for Xmas would be something, just have to think about what size it should have, not enough antibody against the virus, it´s happening again...
Chitlangi... AAAARGH it is not on the HI home page and not at the sales side.
Howards FAQ shows a pic, obviously from HI and a beauty indeed, does really look like very close to my kothimoda, very nice finish of the handle and blade too, must be great balanced with a little more weight in the handle, I guess it is lightning fast, what sizes do they come in?

Yvsa, I happy that I'm not alone. And buoy the more I look at my kothimoda now the better I like the small signes of usage. I will not fully polish them away. And I will not send one of them to Terri, I could not stand them beeing away for such a long time  :D

Hallo Onkel,

do they come in different sizes? I really could not find them on the HI website, am I blind?

Sven,

Why don't you just send your knives to me and I'll test the bluing chemicals for you... Maybe I'll remember to send the knives back too! :D :D ;)

The Chitlangi is supposed to be 21 inches I think but they sometimes send a couple that are 18 inches -- don't ask me why.

Sven,

You might try one of the US Armed Forces Rod and Gun Clubs throughout Germany. I don't know if they restrict it to US personnel now... I seem to recall some locals using the range in Kaiserslautern when I was there in the 80's...

Anyway, you might be able to pick up a bottle of Birchwood Casey or Brownell from one of the Rod and Gun Clubs...

Alan

Hi Alan,

that is a great tip, thanks a million.
I have never heard of this clubs myself but if they have been there in the 80 they are still around for sure. Keep you updated

I got a source for Cold Blue in Germany, the problem was that the procedure is named differently in Germany so I had problems in finding it in the internet, thanks to Alan I got contact so someone who could link me to a German shop where I was informed that all they need to get is my name and coordinates because this products are classified and the government wants to know who is using those products.
I expect it to arrive either today or tomorrow and will start blueing every peace of metal around me prior to testing it on my beloved khukuris.
