Testing my first website

There's quite a few places you put "knifes" instead of "knives." I know that I'm not the only one that will read something like that and be put off...even though it's a simple mistake. :)

Looks good! no problems loading. the layout imho was great. very intuitive. However I found a few misspellings again "knifes" instead of knives. and when you mention "At the age of 20 I was introduced to real knife makers world and started to make art knifes..." You may want to change that to "At the age of 20 I was introduced to the real knife makers world and started to make art knives." Also this statement is puzzling to me, "I learned from real masters and restaurateurs that worked for museums". You worked in a restaurant in a museum? or did you mean you worked in the restoration department at museums? hope this helps

Dmitry-

No wonder so many people think I'm a d-bag around here! I posted a bit of constructive criticism, but TOTALLY forgot to say that I think the site looks real nice. Lots of super cool knives there. Great work! :)

I think it looks good- you need to change instances of "Fore Sale" to "For Sale" though.

I like the New layout, Dmitry!
It looks very nice. and is also well done.
Easy to read and navigate.

The only things i would do is,( these are IMHO):

1) Instead of repeating "these knives are handmade one-of -a-kind and i guarantee no copies will be made" in every description. i would just write that into your about me page or put it somewhere on the front page and maybe write it once at the top of each page.

2) Change "Fore Sale" to "For Sale"

3) Add prices and possibly prices plus shipping to your for sale page. then prospective buyers will have all the information they need and will only have to contact you to order the knife they want.

4) Possibly add a "Comments" section? Editable by you, So that buyers may leave you feedback on your knives.

Misspeling corrected, thank you.
I'll remove a line about one-of-a-kind step by step.
Prices... well yes. has to be there. My bad...
Comments... it's a challenge for "not a programmer" you know... May be I'll ask someone to make it for me later.
Thank you for the input!

but ya might wanna correct the
"I am not the best writer. I'll let my knifes do the talking." on the main page
other than that i would say you looking good!

Take care.

I checked it out, too and all I can say is nice work! If you ever care to post any info about your insights into making wootz, I for one will be all ears (eyes, whatever). If I may quote the bottom of your wootz page, "Every wootz blade that I make I test. I can not promise that it will be the toughest and the hardest. It will not last forever, or show you the way home no magic there. But each blade will be full of hard work and my soul. I believe people still are able to appreciate this." Well said sir, that is some knifemaking philosophy that I can wholeheartedly applaud and this is the approach that will always separate the true knifemaking artists from the rest of the herd.

I plan to put several articles about making wootz there. It takes a lot of time unfortunately. I wish I have 48 hours in every day...:(

Dmitry,

I have no problem navigating your site. It seems that the advice of other forumites, and your implimentation of them has helped quite a bit. Your knives are very very nice indeed. Good job

I'll second that. You have a great attitude and make beautiful knives. I sure wish I could look over your shoulder for a couple of months and learn how you approach some of the embellishments you do. Fantastic work.

Was it you who posted the knife making videos a while back? Those were great and if they're yours I want to thank you again.

You are not that far... I can come to your local show if you write me the time and location. I think it is about 3 hours from me. ;)

Two clean up issues -

Use "restoration specialists" in your profile page.

Use "for sale" instead of "fore sale".

If you want I would be willing to "clean up" your sentence and paragraph structure on your profile page a bit. Just email me or PM me and I will do it in microsoft word and send it back.

Here is a link to my site so you can proof read it for me too. I am certain I have my share of typo's as it is hard to spot one's own mistakes! I too have just started my website.
