Dwayne, could you do me a favor and mebbe post that sheath with a Busse in it so I don't keep staring at this thread and wondering if I should be moving it to a more appropriate forum?

It is only fair to try posting on topic at least a little, as you yourself have raised the question in the past as to why some threads are posted here that should be posted elsewhere.

too right, no more pics here from me, sorry I offended with a Busse sheath. :confused:
 
Seems to be some friction here and that's too bad. Dwayne, just for reference, I saw the pic but wasn't clear on what knife it was for. You are an Old Skool HOG and I just personally figure you know the rules and so adhered to them. I would like to see the whole sheath with and without the knife.
I'm not sure if Jaxx was just bustin' your chops, but it does seem that everyone needs some assistance so they don't derail occasionally. Not sure it was needed this particular time, but I know he doesn't usually beat anyone down.
So, I'd like to see this get back on track and see the work (beautiful as usual, I'm sure) we know is worthy of INFI.

This forum is getting more weird all the time. People post "Off topic" stuff all the time, I didn't see the picture, but if it was a sheath for a Busse knife, isn't that O.K.? :confused:

I thought it looked like a sheath for a Gladius or a Gemini.
It had double snap closures that looked to fit over the hand guards of either of these knives.
Lets see the rest of the pic man!!!
 
I'm not sure anymore.

The scabbard is for a Gladius, its such a unique shape around the handles that I was sure it was recognizable, I cant show the knife, at least right now. So I cant show a sheath without the knife anymore? Since when?

I'm not going to post any more pics till I find out for sure, if sheaths for Busse's arent acceptable as on topic anymore we have some serious thinking to do.

If I post a the tip portion of a kydex sheath I've made and title the post "Test" and say "I'm testing a new website file hosting service" - it's possible someone might recognize what the tip of the knife looks like, but it's unlikely. I knew only that the that scabbard had two straps for shoulder carry, nothing more. I would have had to guess that it was busse related.

Because your post is titled test and is by nature testing whether or not the software, code, or forum works properly, and had no noticeable reference to anything busse related, I'd expect a moderator to question if this was literally just testing software. The moderators shift posts around that have to do with specific forums because without that, several of these forums would become Technical, political, tactical, or community very quickly, and those seeking the forums topics would have to sift through a stack of unrelated posts to get to what the forum is about. It's just the nature of organizing a forum.

Jaxx's request was fair being that he's a moderator, and being that the post did look like just a forum code test, with no direct relation to the busse forum stated or mentioned. It didn't even have to have the gladius in it, or even a gladius - if you had said "this is a new gladius sheath I finished" or put a skeleton key handle sticking out I'm sure it would be fine. Even a 'guess what busse this goes to' probably would have sufficed.

Testing code or picture hosting services with unrelated pictures here is discouraged, just because it would clutter the forum with stuff not related to busse. Which wasn't what you were doing, but there wasn't anything that clarified otherwise.

I have to agree and I saw the picture. I recognized it as Busse related right away.

This is the Busse forum right?

Put that picture back up Dwayne!
 
I could tell that it was a sheath for a Gladius right off the bat. Looked to be a pin lock......double pin lock if I am not mistaken????


I was hoping for more pics with full profile, and with the knife in it!
