Testing Paypal automated subscriptions

I'm working on automating the Paypal payment method for paid subscriptions. If this is up and running correctly, you should be able to pay the same price for Paypal subscriptions as with the Authorizenet system. Added bonus: Paypal users can purchase Basic memberships.

Try it and see.
 
You'll have to use the non-automated system.

I'm seeing membership charges go through so I'm curious how it's working

I read this while looking for info on how to subscribe, which I found after reading the FAQ, duh!
Anyway, I've lurked on this forum for a while, and in response to this thread, if you can let me know once my basic subscription has gone through, I'll upgrade using Paypal, and answer the above question.

Ok, I don't think I did that correctly.
I paid for a Basic, and then I think I just paid for a Gold, rather than upgrading.
My head hurts. I don't think I should try new things on a Monday...

The good news is...I'm a member!

Hello,

I used PayPal this morning to upgrade my membership from Basic to Gold. I do not see the charge in my account as of now, but I did receive a confirmation email from paypal of the order going through. Also, when I checked my Paypal account, it does show that the charge has been completed and has gone through.I

have been trying to update my usergroup to no avail. It keeps saying there are not available for me to join. I'm guessing there is a time period I should wait and check regularly...?

What's the transaction number, and your first name, last initial
 
I used Paypal yesterday for an upgrade from Gold to Knifemaker. Paypal transaction email conformation went through but no option in my usercp to up grade.
