testing

Just checked Netscape and no pix at all and the link won't work. First time around the pix showed up on Netscapre first try but not on AOL.

I really would like to understand what's happening. Pix are worth a thousand words and when they come and go seemingly at will it sure makes for frustration.

I'm not haveing any trouble with any of the pictuers. I can see uncle's first post and it also comes up on the link. I could also see John's metal handled Khukuri that he posted the other day.
I don't know what going on out there but I'm getting everthing clear the first time. :)

Still not working. I'm going to reinstall Windows soon to see if that fixes it for me.

Oboy, ya'll done it now... the "post a reply" button has disappered too!

Uncle, does Ofoto charge you for server space???

Alan

OK - this morning, the thread title has the little "pic" symbol....still no pics.

Now you see it, now you don't. This AM on AOL there's the little red x and space where the pix should be. Right click, show pix, nothing happens. Link worked with AOL. Have not tried Netscape yet today.

Ofoto doesn't charge anything for which I'm thankful. I would not want to pay for such sporadic service. But, I guess it's better than Photopoint who charged a fee and then disappeared.

All I get are the blank spots with the large red X in them this morning.
Perhaps Ofoto has had such an influx of new users since Photopoint went down that they are just over loaded some?

Changes everyday. Today I checked and got the red x. Right clicked and clicked show picture. The pix showed up 4 or five times in every post that had referenced it.

I got a reply from Ofoto. They told me how to share an album and failed to answer the question I asked -- typical tech support.

I tried to access my bank account this AM to check net transfers -- got a message that they couldn't find my account. I've accessed it successfully 311 times. Today it won't work.

I'm so sick of this net business I could :barf:

I've never seen an issue like this either..

IE gives this responce:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /photos108/1/76/39/42/66/0/66423976103_0_ALB.jpg on this server.

But netscape displays the image just fine.

I downloaded the image to my computer and successfully viewed it localy with IE.

-Have you tried to upload the file with a new name?
-Do all the files you upload with ofoto have the path "photos108/1/76/39/42/66/0" ? This path is unusual and could be causing some unusual problem with IE.
-Do you any standing arguements with Bill Gates? He is an evil and spiteful man.

(The reason both AOL and netscape work is that they are the same browser!)

Using Microsoft's (:barf: ) Internet Explorer 5.5 - can't see any pics; when I click on link I get 'Forbidden
You don't have permission to access....' message.

I heard from Ofoto again. They are trying to block access to third parties -- some sort of copyright problem. Seems they are only getting the job done part time.

We've had a housefull of company for the last couple of weeks, two kids from AZ and 2 grandkids along with them.
They left this morning about 11:30 or so.
Then Friday our son in law and his 3 kids came in from Florida via Arizona. They're leaving tomorrow morning. Got too see grandkids I wouldn't have gotten to see for a while otherwise!!!!

Dallas completed his degree in computer repair and building not long ago and so he has helped me do a few things with and too my computer.
I now have 512 mbz of Memory, up from 128 mbz or whatever you measure memory in!!!!!!! I still get confused about the terminology.
Anyway last night he helped me download the latest 6.2 Netscape browser.

I can't see any pix today with either browser.
I like the Netscape for the size and clarity of pix, but prefer I.E.'s box for posting.
Both are loading quite nice and if I want I can run them both together with still some memory left. Before I wouldn't have had enough memory to run both programs at once.
And that much memory only cost me $42.00 and some change with the rebates I got.:)

Let's see...

I wonder if that'll work...
