WilliamM.
Thanks.
When someone said Snyder I figured it was Alan Henry. I have never been there but would love to go sometime. You just have to keep trying and eventually you will catch fish. As they say, that is why it's called "fishing"and not "catching."
Glock 26,
Alan Henry has produced a number of "ShareLunkers" which are LM bass over 13 lbs. Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. created the program to try and produce world record LM bass.
Alan Henry burst on the scene 4-5 years ago by producing 5-6 lunkers in the 14-15 lb range(as I recall) and that made it an instant big bass destination.
I think it suffered some from its success but supposedly is still a great lake for bass.
It is somewhat protected by its distance from really large populations of fishermen and by the fact it belongs to the City of Lubbock which controls access to the lake.
WilliamM,
That trail and the landscape in general look good enough to forget fishing and just enjoy the scenery.
