Great pics, looks like a beautiful place and my kind of terrain!

Looks like an Awsome place to hike 'Ol Bud ! I like the pic of the Pup alone on the rocks

Looks like great fun. I'm down here playing in the wind in Edinburg Tejas. Does it ever stop blowing here?

OK,I liked the warning "no knife photos" but I'd have really been sad if there were no Zeus photos

Down by Brownsville. About as low as you can go and stay in the US.
BTW, Zeus looks great.

Hey Doc... watch out for rattlers! I lived in Lubbock for about 7 years and did a lot of hiking/hunting on the Llano Estacado. I've crossed paths with many a big snake in that part of the world.

The world's largest (maybe only) rattlesnake roundup is in Sweetwater, pretty close to you. I had my pup shots recently to inoculate him from rattler venom. You may want to consider it for Zeus.

With all the years I’ve spent hiking and camping in Texas, and all the big snakes I’ve encountered, the biggest rattler I’ve ever seen was in Harrison State Park in New York State; go figure.

In fact, the AT close to my home here in Connecticut had to be re-routed because of the rattlesnake danger to un-suspecting hikers; who would have guessed.

On hot days like today, the snakes move out on the hot rock ledges that many of the trails traverse; hikers beware, wherever you hike.

That's some really nice looking country, WM, thanks for sharing, however, you're not totally off the hook for no knife pictures.

Doc

The wind stops like maybe two weeks out of the year. Winter is nice though.

I bet it is. Right now after spending the winter mainly up north, the heat and humidity is a little much for me.

Nice pictures - soooo, did you like decide to change you shirt for every photo :D :D :D

The scrub would just look like scrub to me, but then when you put that water in there, it all looks good!

Photographer trade secret. Most people didn't even notice. :D

I'll take green almost anytime over the semi-arid. Lived in Texas. Been there and done that.
