As per the title, I have a few questions for you guys running an LLC here in The Great State of Texas.

What type of LLC entity did you choose?

What would be a ballpark figure for forming an LLC?

Did you opt away from the Single Member LLC? If so, how bad are the yearly fees to keep your status?

Do you use a registered agent to handle your legal correspondence and if so, why?

I've done a bit of reading and I'm looking for practical feedback from other knifemakers as some of what I found does not seem to apply too keenly to us. Any and all help is DEEPLY appreciated! Thank you gents.

I think LLC's are about $1500 in Texas with someone to help you. I'm interested in what type of replies you will receive, though.

Your question may be answered best on another website like AR15.com, in the Texas section. Many of those guys have formed LLC's to purchase class 3 firearms. They are most knowledgeable about the process and differences between the types of LLC's. If I recall, there is a very active member there, who is and attorney in Houston and helps many get the LLC's.

Hopefully, someone will chime in with better answers than I have offered.

Mike L.
