Texas Rodent Lovers

I'm in Fort Worth, but if you think I'm going camping in Texas in the summer you are crazy. I do all my summer outdoors stuff in western PA where my fiancee lives.
 
Yeah....I'm not camping in the summer either. I'd for sure die a slow painful death if I had to sleep outside in this heat!

I say oct or nov pick a date and find a place.

Amen to that! I live in the Humble area just north of Intercontinental Airport.

This is the best time and place to camp...If you can survive the heat here this time of year you can survive here any time.....
besides I camp the first week of oct and nov any way......start of bow season and rifle season
 
I can't physically be out in those temps for long periods. I have a heart condition and I'll pass out. I camped fathers day weekend and that was too hot to be outside so I'm done til it cools down.
 
hey......i'm really trying to get something organized. a texas rat fest! if ya'll could please post in the RAT PACK map thread that would be great. i'm trying to make it so no one has to drive terribly far.

the invitation is open to all.....if people want to fly in (which ppl do for Hoodlum gatherings) I'm sure there are plently of people near airports that you could hitch a ride with. We're close to Bush (haha i know) and Hobby both in Houston. So if you want to fly in to them the mr or I could come pick you up.
 
Im way down south in Corpus Christi, but I would be willing to travel north for a Rat Pack party.:)
