Hi all !
I wanted to share a few pics of work done by Josh at R.E.K.. Please excuse the poor photos, you'll have to trust it looks way better in person ! First the experience, from start, to finish, to follow up was top notch. The communication, knowledge, guidance and even billing could not have been better, Thanks Josh !

Work done by Josh on the TGLB: Remove the tube fasteners, regrind with a hollow grind, full satin finish to 220 grit, spine work and grind in small swedge ( close to a heavy chamfer ), edge set to 15 dps ( 600 grit and polished ) with a microbevel at 20 dps, reinstall nickel basedIMG_20190131_134246.jpg IMG_20190131_135859.jpg IMG_20190131_134533.jpg IMG_20190131_134617.jpg IMG_20190131_144529.jpg IMG_20190131_144601.jpg flared tubing fasteners. I also asked for his logo etched on the reverse of the Busse mark.
At the same time, I also sent Josh my HOG Gemini for a reprofiled V edge at 15 dps, 600 grit and polished. These blades are truly Razor sharp !

That's a nice looking TGLB! Josh is a wizard. Love that dude. I was afraid to use the Park Ranger he did for me since it was so freakin' sharp. Thought I'd cut part of me off by accident, but it worked really well processing a deer this year.

He is an awesome guy to deal with, really was a pleasure... and with out a doubt this blade is the sharpest I've ever held.

Nice Forsaken Team Gemini Light Brigade ya got there! ;)

Josh REK'd a SARsquatch for me and that damn thing would castrate a gnat

Only blade I ever owned that I would only handle if there was a table between it and my feet...true story.

I had ZERO DOUBT that the sum of the dropped Squatch's mass + velocity + sharpness = amputated foot/feet

I had to move that toe-taker out of the house...I think Cam is in possession of her currently.

Here she is in all her menacing convexxed wickedness!!!

This beauty is in my stable. No lie about the sharpness. It is literally scary.

I wish there was someone in Australia doing this kind of work. In fact if anyone knows anyone that they can recommend for sharpening work I would really appreciate it!
Cheers

Josh is top notch. I have done one non-Busse project with him, and the professionalism all around is just as everyone says. Not to mention, the fact that he can do anything you ask equally as good. The range of skill is truly impressive.

I do not have that one, not sure why other than Leo got there first! I do have a distant relative that was a Ban Tang, or Horton, or NDOCYK or somebody who knew what they were doing. I had a REK NMSFNO for a bit - the one in the videos with the same bolts as below, and then I passed it along to a very happy to receive fella down here. It was insane.
