TGLB back from REK

Bt3 - that HOG Gemini looks freaking wicked! I enjoyed fondling for a day or 2 and then let it go to a true lover of the wide-bodies. The deep-dish on that thing was incredible, truly a thing I am glad I saw first hand...like the FUDGES, only way bigger and a TGLB!!!

Hi all !
I wanted to share a few pics of work done by Josh at R.E.K.. Please excuse the poor photos, you'll have to trust it looks way better in person ! First the experience, from start, to finish, to follow up was top notch. The communication, knowledge, guidance and even billing could not have been better, Thanks Josh !

Work done by Josh on the TGLB: Remove the tube fasteners, regrind with a hollow grind, full satin finish to 220 grit, spine work and grind in small swedge ( close to a heavy chamfer ), edge set to 15 dps ( 600 grit and polished ) with a microbevel at 20 dps, reinstall nickel basedView attachment 1064271 View attachment 1064272 View attachment 1064273 View attachment 1064274 View attachment 1064275 View attachment 1064276 flared tubing fasteners. I also asked for his logo etched on the reverse of the Busse mark.
At the same time, I also sent Josh my HOG Gemini for a reprofiled V edge at 15 dps, 600 grit and polished. These blades are truly Razor sharp !

Hey Cam.. Yes as if the HOG wasn't intimidating enough, that edge certainly makes sure it is ! Very Happy with the work by Josh and also want to thank you as well for the opportunity to own the Ban Tang, it really is a special piece !
Take care..

Awesome ! Did you have a before pic? Did this start out as a coated TGLB? Or is it the Comp finish model in your original post with the canvas handles? Just curious what config it started at?
