Thad Buchanan(s).....

Rich and everyone else who took the time to comment, thank you very much. I don't really participate in the forums and I was surprised when I stumbled on to this thread, I'm very grateful. The quality of the handle material makes a big difference in the appearance of a knife and it certainly made a difference with these, not to mention the excellent work by Joe Mason.

Sincerely,
Thad

Well, again thank you all who commented, and I wanted to say personally to Thad that I'm glad you saw the discussion, and signed up to the forum to comment. Your work has been mentioned here more and more frequently over the last few years. In this one case only, I feel comfortable speaking for others. "Welcome, and please come back now and then."

Thad, something else I wanted to convey to you. I got a lot of emails, and messages through the "private message" feature on the this forum after I posted the photo's of your knives. This has never happened before to any degree. Some wanted to purchase them, some shared photo's of similar knives you have made, etc.. However, almost every single one that was sent by people that have met, or worked, with you, mentioned what nice standup people you and your wife are. I just wanted you to know that.... Best Regards, Rich

Again, thank you for the kind words Rich. It's nice to hear positive feedback about the work and how much more rewarding to hear comments about how people feel about Melissa and I personally. She's a huge part of what I do even though she seldom comes out to the shop.

Mike, I want to thank you also for your comments and I haven't forgotten that you were willing to help when I was trying to learn to solder guards. I hope we actually get to meet someday and talk about Bob. He had a great deal of respect for you and your work.

Thad

Those are absolutely gorgeous, love the bark ivory as well as the Mason engraving. Thanks for the pics.
