Hi,

Does anyone know an importer in the States for these?

.

Specifically the forth down. Also does anyone know the story behind that model? I've heard it was military issue?

I have one almost exactly like the 4th one down, but it is Nepali, not Thai.

BTW, Farmer Knives over in the Makers forum makes this design, and a small version in on sale right now for under a hundred bucks which would be of better quality than the typical import.

You mean like this e-Nep? That is one I ordered.

Go to the "other" knife forum (KF) and look for a member named "Santi". He will arrange to have one made & shipped to you.

note: Santi is a "good guy", he uses some of the proceeds from this hobby to provide tools and gear to the underfunded (destitute) Forestry Service Rangers in Thailand.

I used to have one like the fourth one down (I think it's the one Tyr has now). Got it off Ebay if I recall correctly from a guy that sold nothing but these knives. Don't know if they're still there but might be a good place to check.

4th one down looks like something I seen on Amazon, but not sure, you would have to check.

I have seen a LOT of the 4th ones at JJ market in Bangkok.
They ranged from skinner to chopper size ( 3"- 18") for only 4+ bucks (130 baht )with currency exchange.
It's not forged though.

yeah you can just walk to JJ. However Knife Lover ( name of company that sells at JJ ) traditionally sells knives made of bone & horn, and rarely have aranyik eneps size -1-4 ( as Jay mentioned -1 + 18", 5 = $3 ). However size 0 is making a come back.
