Thai mini axe karambit. Where can I find one?

I saw a video on youtube of these tiny little axes that are used like a karambit but in pairs. Basically the hand covers the entire handle except a tiny aproximately 1"x 2" axe head on one side and the bottom of the handle protrudes about 2" and is hooked slightly back to facilitate grabbing and passing using the "punyo" as we say in the FMA. The video is from a silat practitioner and he used to sell them but it seems they've been out of stock for quite sometime and I haven't heard any response from my posts on his vid. I didn't post a link to the video because I'm not sure of the rules on that here. I collect weapons of all kinds and the more unique the better. These seem to be almost impossible to find anywhere else which makes me want a set all the more. So if you guys know anywhere that sells these or any other similar unique weapons please let me know. I am familiar with the little pocket hatchets and other utility type mini axes. For those I have no interest. Its the fact that these are made to be little weapons and that they are ideal for Filipino martial arts that makes them appealing.

I know the weapon you're talking about, I believe. If I'm not mistaken, it's called a Kepak Kecil. I've often wondered about getting one myself, but I've never found one.

I'd figure you could MAKE one if you had some wood and a small enough axe head..... Not sure where one would get an axe head that tiny, but you probably could.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to begin searching for one lol. The problem is I think these are made by guys who aren't exactly connected to the net lol.

Yup a search for "kecil weapon" turned up this image

So you've got me on the right track. Thanks!

Well no luck in finding any for sale anywhere. I keep getting a link to an article about a guy who's supposedly selling a bunch of them on the net. To who or from where I have no idea. Since the actual article is all I found on him. I think I may have to try and make one. I'm not good enough to forge a little axe head so it'll have to be stock removal if I do it. Unfortunately I'd really like one with a little forged axe head.

SCROLL DOWN HERE YOU CAN BUY THE KEPAK AND A TRAINER FOR IT.

THE GUYS AT BLACK TRIANGLE KNOW HOW TO USE IT THE RIGHT WAY SO TO SPEAK, THE WEBSITE LINKED ABOVE IS FOR THE GURU WHO IS THE ACKNOWLEDGED MASTER OF THE WEAPON AND WHO TRAINED THE BLACK TRIANGLE SILAT GURUS. I KNOW THE VIDEO YOU ARE REFERRING TO (WHERE HE REFERS TO IT AS AXE KARAMBIT) BUT WHAT HE IS DOING IN NO WAY RESEMBLES WHAT I HAVE SEEN ACTUAL SILAT PRACTITIONERS TEACH.

It's Indo or Malay - "Kecil" means small in bahasa. Cool weapon, I've never seen one before.

edit: didn't know this thread was 2 years old.

I would check with a KnifeMaker here on the site and see if you could have a custom one made.
