The Samsher looks like a traditional long leaf from the WW1 era - if I am right in describing it that way. With a partial tang. Even the weight is in the right range.
I would have gone for it except the handle looks too long and big for my hands. If anyone is interested in that kind of blade, it's a great way to get your hands on a new copy of a great historical blade compared to getting one from United Cutlery imho.

Agreed! It is a very traditional shape and appears to be a hidden tang. It is a steal and a very historically minded design and execution.

I apologize for that; found it by Google search and the sale was no longer active (last post on 2008) - so I honestly didn't realize I was breaking a rule. The law is the law, though!

Here's a picture:

- edge is not the original one. Seems to me the basic shape (and curve) is right there with Thamar's latest offering. Wish there were more pictures of his, the other one on sale here stole the thunder maybe a little bit prematurely :).

Ndoghouse, ours definitely have more of a drop (not quite curved spine, like Bookie's or Bawanna's - just gooderer overall), even if you take into consideration the picture angle. I'd say the handled are curved more as well.
