Just wanted to thank everyone who supported Coyle Outdoors in 2014. It really does mean a lot to me to have so many of you support and recommend my store and my services.
I am new to all of this and the last six months have really been a learning experience for me as I really didn't know what I was doing or how to even get started.
2014 was a year for me to figure out the next path in my life and get my feet wet doing something different.
I can tell ya, the retail business is very hard with all the competition out there and some of the prices found online are just ridiculous. I really do wish I could match some of those prices but I would lose money every time. So what I am getting at is I really do appreciate all of you who decided to buy a knife from me because I know that there are large retailers and online stores that are a few bucks cheaper, but you decided to go with me, and I sincerely Thank You! I do my best to make the customer service the best I possibley can and am here to answer any questions you may have. I also do check each blade and make sure it is ground to my standards before I send it out. And if any of you know me, then you know I can be a picky son of a gun. But I refuse to send a knife to one of my customers that I know should be ground a little better or is not a good specimen of Ethan's design, with in reason. There are always gonna be slight variations.
Does't matter if you bought a few knives or just a set of stainless screws from me this year, or even just recommend me, I want to thank you let you know that I appreciate your business and support!
Thank you all who have bought my custom work as well. I know I am slow getting stuff out sometimes, but I want things to be just right and I can be a little OCD at times.......well.........most of the time. lol I am working on speeding things up for 2015!
Also I want to thank you Ethan Becker. I have gotten to know you quite well over the last year or so and consider you a good friend. You and your knives have impacted my life more than you will ever know. Thank you for all that you do for this community.
I would like to Thank T.M. Hunt as well. He is a great guy who has helped me out in many ways over the last year. Thanks for everything Todd! 2015 is gonna be a great year.
I have made many friends here and many of you I talk to on a regular basis. Not gonna list everyone, you all know who you are. So thank you guys for everything.
2015 is the year of many new and great happenings! Yea, I said happenings. lol
The new Becker Kukri is one of them! I haven't' been as excited for anything this much since the Tweener release! I am gonna get my hands on as many BK-21's as I can! If you want one, let me know.
Coyle Outdoors also has a few collaboration projects in the works that should happen this year so that's gonna be fun! Stay tuned!
I also have some new sheath designs coming out and you will all be seeing a lot more of my work in 2015. Will be working full time now in the shop and really trying to pump out tons of quality work and awesome designs.
Oh, some of you know already, but my Parkerizing tank and supplies are on the way, should be here Saturday, and I just have a couple other things to do before I am ready to Park some Beckers. I am really excited about this and can't wait to get started. Will be selling Brand new Beckers already modded and Parkerized as well as parkerizing Beckers and ESEE's that people send me. If you don't know what a Parkerized Becker looks like............... just imagine perfection. Gonna change the world by going old school! haha. No more epoxy coatings for me.
2015 is also the year that I am gonna start making some youtube videos. I hate being in front of the camera but feel like I need to get over it so I can share things that I have learned and do reviews and stuff for others. There is a lot of BS on Youtube, and I hope I am not perceived as one of those guys. haha. Will be doing a lot of how to mod Becker knife videos too. There are a lot of good vids out there on the subject but there are also a lot that are just bull. I feel like I have tried many methods for different mods and even though I am still learning, have found some really good ways to do things. I got so into Beckers because of modding and think a lot of others like to customize and personalize their knives as well.
Lot's of other exciting things happening as well and I will keep you all updated when the time comes.
