Got home from the sawbones and Karen went to check the E-mails as I went to lay down, and found no less than 14 emails from you guys wishing me well today.

I want to thank you all, I'm genuinly touched. I'm okay, just a bit dopy still, which may not be much difference. Still loopy from the valium they gave me before getting to work under a local. Weird experince. In at 8 and done by 9;30. Nothing like a pro. Left hand is wrapped up like a mummy. Doc's must have stock in the guaze manufacturing coompany.

Thank you all very very much for your emails.

Going to go take it easy, PITA typing with one hand. Plus they gave me some very good pills, so I'm not going to be all here in a while.

Thanks guys.

Glad to hear you made it out in one piece. How long before you know how it worked out for you?

Glad to hear everything went smoothly...

Don't feel to bad about "Not being all here". At least you have an excuse, unlike some of us here :D

Moving this over to "community" but the link will stay in "traditional" of course...

Carl, if there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to ask.

It was a weird expriance having them do this under a local. Cloth draped over so i couldn't see what was going on, all numbed up, but i could hear stuff happening. I cold feel my hand being manipulated, and once in a while the surgon would tell me to move my fingers which was weird, because it felt like a rubber hand out there. I guess when they had it opended, they wanted to see if the tendon was moving free in its sheath, which had been a problem.

Now its over, I'm still feeling really hinky from the two valium they gave me a half hour before they took me in. Dopy but kind of too weird to sleep, so I thought id check the forums till i zonk out. The hand still feels like a rubber hand, but they told me the local anesithec shold be worn off by this evening, so they gave me some vicaden to take.

very weird experiance hearing stuff going on but not feeling it.

Jack wish you well and Godspeed on your recovery. Hey when you're in that space between drug induced sleep and consciousness let your mind go and see if another one of your tales emerge.....but then again you probably won't recall it lol :D Take it easy my friend.

Best wishes to you for a rapid recovery!

Reminds me of when I got a tendon severed by broken glass, couldn't move my hand at all. and blood loss....Local A and a group of medical students watching on as a surgery professor stuck tweezers up the arm to find the missing end...all cold&numb but you could feel things....
