Thank you, Fausto!!!

Thank you Carl, and everyone else.
With Carl's permission, I'm willing to tell a bit of the story behind this knife. Some time ago, Carl contacted me asking for some feedback on a knife sold in the US and labeled as "Sardinian folder". As I had known for a while, Carl felt the lure of our knives, but the one he had found for sale didn't really match my definition of a resolza. And I told him so...adding that I would be happy to help him find his resolza in the local market here. I contacted a knifemaker, and arranged with him for this knife (which is way smaller than the average resolza), and I'm glad Carl is happy. Obviously, the whole knife was an upgrade from Carl's original find, but as I told him from the beginning, if you're willing to try this pattern, then it better be the real traditional one, so I took care of the extra steps (which was fun, after all), and managed to find something that suits his taste. Or so Carl says :p
I'm flattered by your words folks. I'm just happy to contribute, when I get the chance. I owe this place so much. And I'm also quite proud of Sardinian knives, and that's why I'm glad to help anyone who's interested in them. Hopefully soon we'll get pictures of another similar knife on this forum...

That's a great-looking knife for a really great guy, hope you're very happy with it Carl. Lovely Gesture Fausto, so nice to put a bit of Sardinian sunshine in someone else's life :)

(PM me sometime Fausto my friend, haven't heard from you in a while :) )

I'm looking forward to this knife making an appearance in one of Carl's tales ;)

Complimenti to both of you! I have handled a couple of "Pattadese" and have loved the design ever since.
Even the bigger ones are very handy and lightweight (and they can be BIG ).
The blade is carbon, I guess?

Great knife and pic, I always find the generousity in this forum is mind blowing:thumbup: I've been wanting a traditional Sardinian design ever since I had seen one a few months back, it greatly appeals to me!! Any info on where to find something similar?

Great pocketknife, Carl and Fausto!

This is the place where wishes come true! :D

A certain Sardinian  helped me get this Large sized Pattada, and the smaller one came from Vince (who has been a bit scarce around here:confused:).

Thanks for sharing, Carl :) This place is full of great gentlemen. Just great people all around here.

That little traditional italian knife is really great looking. And in direct size comparison to the Peanut it seems to be a pretty pocket friendly little fellow.

Great gesture, Fausto!

Took the words right outta my mouth!
How unsanitary!
