Hi Guys,
I want Thank those who helped me out with my process of making a ladder pattern.
I considered the methods that you guy's gave me And decided what would work best for me in my shop.
I went with this method.
Preform bevels on a 336 layer Bilit.
Cut the grooves 1/8" wide 1/16" deep 1/4" spacing.
Reforged the Bevels but did not point the knife.
Finished ground and heat treated the blade.
A Special Shout Out Goes to John White for his help.
My plan is to make 5 blanks like this one and chose the best one for the year I decide to go for my MS.

The work it takes to make a blade such as this is not fully appreciated by the public. A beauty!

That sure looks good David. Saved in my "Damascus to shoot for" folder when I ever try my hand at it someday. Thanks for sharing.

Thank You for all your Comments.
Hi Chuck,
Sorry I will not be there this Sunday. Depending what I get finished this summer I am thinking about the November 10th Show.
Hi Fred,
After 3+ Days of intense work and the blade was etched I had a Smile on my Face lasted a long time.
