Blues, I'll leave it up to you on rather or not to move this to the gallery.
But I wanted a more public forum to offer my thanks to Jerry Hossom for his work on this knife.
My brother is one of those serving his country and he has just been promoted to full bird. I wanted a special gift fitting a military man and this is the result Jerry came up with. I just wanted the people that brouse this forum to know of the efforts Jerry put out when I told him what it was for. While he and I both are vets, we are long past the age where we worry about such things. But for those who are still young enough to serve, you have a friend in Jerry Hossom.
Thanks Jerry!

What a great knife....., very thoughtful and appropriate gift. Jerry is definitely a class act.

Here is to your brother

Thanks Terrill and others. In truth, it's we who need to thank your brother. He makes command decisions everyday that influence the war on terror, providing safety for my family and security for my country. By comparison, any knife is insignificant. Thanks for those great pix, bro!

We are a lucky country to have your brother working to keep us safe.

That is simply the most gorgeous knife I have ever seen. Two honors in one post!!!...........Ira

Thanks for sharing with us Terrill - thanks to your Brother for his sacrifices (have daughter in Air Force who served tour overseas with Enduring Freedom so know exactly what you feel) and to Jerry for creating such a wonderful gift - as Jerry said the people like your brother are the true heroes and the knife can only be a small thank you for what they have given to their country & us.

wow, great pic! how do you do that??

i saw Jerry's knives at the NY show, didn't really talk to him, but he seemed very popular and i could see why

he makes nice knives. i prefer tantos and japanese style blades more

think they have been more functional, but, i could see that these are good blades, too

i like cord wrapped handles

Jerry is great to deal with. You can tell by talking to him that he truly loves what he does. I met him at the NY show and left with this little beauty.

Even if I do have one of his knives myself, it was hard sending that one off to my brother! No one but no one gets mine! I think They will have to bury it with me, Either that or my step-son and nephew will fight over it.

Jerry, those knives once again show that your designs are second to none in the custom world. Great work!

Great knife well designed and to the kind of folks who can appreciate them. Elegance and function.
