A month or so back I discovered I had lost a threaded insert from the clip side of my kershaw damascus skyline wrapped in flytanium copper scales- my first collector knife. I contacted kershaw customer service by email and was directed to there warranty page. After a parts request I received backspacer screws in the mail not the threaded insert.

Bummer right?

So I resubmitted a request (which I was later notified that I accidentally submitted a mail in request for the whole knife opps) but I also followed that with an email to customer service listing the new request#. CS contacted me back said thank you for resubmitted and that they would take care of it.

Today my threaded inserts showed up! They gave me 5 of them even tho the knife only requires 2 and I had only lost 1. So I have spares now!

So thank you kershaw for keeping my skyline on my belt for all these years!

That's nice service, and I get that same level of service from Benchmade too. But I contacted Hinderer knives last week that the lockbar insert screw fell out of my Halftrack, and they said for $1 per screw + $3 shipping that they could send a replacement. I ordered 6, one for each of my knives, in case it happened again in the future so I would not have to go through that each time it happens. It would have been nice to have them offer to send me one for free under warranty.
