So I thought it had to be a joke. I lost my farmer and I came on to ws&s for some direction. I kid you not, within 47 seconds of posting that I lost my knife I had two forum members offering to send me a replacement. My wife thought I was kidding until it showed up. (I of course added the lanyard)

I gave it a spin out at the lake this weekend with the boy and made a little fishing pole and a whistle.

I've gotta tell you-- it is really a wild feeling to receive such undeserved grace. Thank you for the experience.

The people on this forum blow my mind on a regular basis. All day i come in contact with people that wouldn't hold the door for you, let alone the kind of nice things people do on here. It's really nice to get on here and see a huge group of really great people that are as selfless and generous as this group is. This group is a big family.

That is such a great gesture by LupaWolf. A lot of very generous folks and I have received similar gestures; I've also done my share of giving as well. It's a great forum with very gracious and remarkable members.

Congratulations on getting the Farmer, and mega kudos to LupaWolf, too.

This is a great community. The longer I'm here, the more impressed I am by the people who frequent this board. I don't know any of them personally, but I feel like I do. What a great group!

your a Father ... you deserve it,gotta bring your children up right,showing & teaching them about the outdoors....
I have received as well as paid it forward many times ! Great Group of folks !

Yup - remember that dude that lost his leg on here - He posted up for ADVICE about a new bushcraft blade - and I think he was sent 7 of them to keep.

That is what it is ALL about. I love this place too!

OH - that reminds me - I have to get some Spyderwire to someone on this board I promised - I forget to send it to him.

LOL They don't always do things like you want them to,but it's always an adventure. Good on you for taking your son out. Enjoy all of them you can.

No joke...I think we have gotten some material benefit from this site; jw got his stuff jacked and then replaced, then sent me a Farmer when I was looking for one, the dude who lost his leg getting all kinds of cool gear (forgot his sn), the pay it forward thread, all of the passarounds...not to mention the real, practical outdoor advice we get...
