I, for one, would like to express my gratitude to Mete for being a regular contributor here. Having a seasoned retired metallurgist around is one of the things that makes this place such an outstanding wealth of knowledge. Thank you Mete.

Mete has been super useful. So he was a metallurgist? What did he do?

Metallurgy :D

I too would like to express my gratitude. There have been many a thread with this a little blurb from Mete that really fit the pieces together. Thanks, Robert!

Mete, I don't know if it's your birthday, with this being posted and all.:)
But, anyways, thanks for all your help. Your knowledge is most appreciated.

You're very welcome , it's been fun.
You missed my birthday but I don't count them at this point !

So the wire thing is fixed I take it. LOL
Thank you for being around Mete.
Thank you also Nathan, having a machinist around is kinda handy too.

Thank you Mete. I've learned a lot from your terse but informative posts. And thank you Nathan. Even though you make me feel guilty every time I turn on my little mill to butcher something it's fascinating seeing what someone who knows what he's doing can do.

Agreed all around. When I saw a thread started by Nathan, with Mete in the title, I knew I had to click on it. :D Thanks guys.

Thanks ya'll.

Mete has helped me more than once with theoretical and (very) real world metallurgical problems and rarely receives much recognition. It isn't his birthday, but I felt it was a good time to thank him publicly and point out to those who are not in the know that he is truly a real asset to be respected and appreciated by all.

Occasionally a newb comes in and asks a metallurgical question, receives one from Mete, and doesn't recognizes the value of his .02. Now you know.

:thumbup: Thank you,Mete! You've passed bits of wisdom my way as well. Glad you hang around and share!!:thumbup:

You too,Nathan. In fact, I may have a small project for you [if interested of course]. I'll send a pm or email, which ever you prefer.

Thanks mete.

Might I say we send a recommendation to Webster's dictionary that 'metallurgy' be changed to 'METEallurgy' ? :):D

I'm Nthing the kudos to Mete AND Nathan. You both have come to the rescue when I have oddball questions, and I know you've given actual meaningful help to plenty of others.

Don , my thesis in college was the shortest they had ever seen !! Taciturn !
