Carl, this place is truly amazing. The behavior of the folks on the porch is shocking to most in this fast paced me first world. You have some of the blame for that behavior, your stories remind us of a better time and fosters the attitude of doing right by others.

I am a better person for hanging out here with the fine folks who frequent the porch. Thanks to all of you for making this place rock.

Great story, great knife, and a great gesture. Huge kudos for MT Damascus for gifting such a beautiful knife, and for selecting such a deserving recipient. Chris, I have to agree with GT here in that you have captured what makes this place so special. We are all better for having been a part of this group. Enjoy the knife, my friend. Couldn't be happier for you.
