When you have chosen a blade, what makes you happy - a slip joint, the handle, the steel, the action, the value?

I genuinely like my simple spydercos, but often do not carry them much.

I have much bigger and more expensive but somehow there are a few that wait at home.

And my Kiwi
And my ZT flipper
And my DR coffin handle
And the most amazing ... a very simple woodsman pal
Fun for us all, what do you prefer to walk around every day with if you could only choose one knife?

I suppose I would choose that endura.

How about you?
Love it? Why?

I choose a knife based on the overall design.
steel,
other materials of construction
blade shape(s)
size
perceived ergonomics (limited to "perceived" until I actually hold it.)

As an overall design, I have a 3 3/4" closed length Boker serpentine jack with clip and sheepsfoot blades in 440C of which I think particularly highly.

I would like to hold the sun in my pocket for a flashlight.

A small sebenza with a swedge tip ground by Chris himself, a great chopper and a canittler in D2.

How about you all?

One knife? That's an easy one!
