Today - I was expecting a package from Marko and I heard the mail lady open the storm door and shut it.
I went to the door and found two Priority mail boxes, one much larger than the other.

I reached down to get them and noticed one from Jackson and one from Gulf Shores. I knew immediately, from the size of the box and the weight, what might be inside the larger box. As I walked to the kitchen to open the boxes, it occurred to me that Stephen had pulled shenanigans on me ............. again !
I sliced open the box with my wicked sharp NYKC Barlow and ................. just as I expected ............ an Alabama Football t-shirt and a note.
The backstory:
Stephen and I have had many nice PM conversations about knives and sports. He is an avid Crimson Tide football fan and I am an avid UK Wildcat basketball fan. I have mentioned to him that I always cheered for Alabama football and respected their program. He had done same for the UK basketball program.
So last year when Kentucky was rolling along to the Final Four and undefeated up to that time, I mentioned to him that I wanted to send him a Pursuit for Perfection UK t-shirt and also one for his son, who had also become a UK round ball fan. He finally agreed, but, not until I committed that I might possibly wear a Crimson Tide t-shirt next football season, if he really wanted me too.

So low and behold, about a month or so back, I get a PM from him and he mentions that he remembered that he needed to send me an Alabama football t-shirt. I replied that I would wear that t-shirt, if'n he really wanted me to, however, it was unnecessary to go to all that trouble and such, that I could just cheer for them again.

At first, I thought the mojo might have worked that some of us had been doing in the totin' thread, but, after I thought about it, I realized that football season kicks off this weekend.
I reckon I better get that shirt washed and ready to wear for Saturday. Primble always keeps his word.

I hope it cools down enough for a jacket Saturday evening, when I go to the diner to eat.

So - thank you so much my friend for the shirt and the beautiful knife and sheath. What I would enjoy even more, is to see you participate more frequently here with your friends on the porch.

I reached to the bottom of the long box and found a very beautiful Backwoods fixed blade knife and wonderful sheath.
The silver dollar was sent to me by Stephen a long time ago.
