I just wanted to use this opportunity to publicly thank Scott for his help and encouragement in my knifemaking. A little over a year ago, I posted on the "other forum" about doing a passaround of a knife I had just finished. Scott was one of those who said he would like to be in on it. After he had a chance to use it on a camping trip, he sent me an email, and said to give him a call, he wanted to talk about my knife. My first thoughts were "oh boy, it must really be a piece of junk if Scott wants to talk about it instead of posting a review!" Nothing could be further from what happened during our 45 minute call. He told me some things I needed to improve on, but most important to me, he gave me some great suggestions on what to do differently, and lots of encouragement. To make a long story short, as I am approaching the end of my first year as a full time maker, I wanted to post a thank you to one of the guys who helped make it happen. Thank you Scott!
