Thank you to The_Warrior!

Not sure yet. I may just sharpen on the diamond steel and call it a day. It's going to be abused so no need for a pretty edge on this one!

Just as an idea, it's not a zero sum game.
I convexed the "choppy" belly bit of the BK4. The part you'd be striking the tree with in the chop. But the inside of the up-curve until the belly, i use the edge of the triangles on my sharp maker. So it's a v-grind to make the inside nice and slicey, that leads into a convex for better chopping.

I like the roundness of my diamond steel it hits every part of the edge. It's still sharp so no need to sharpen again just yet. All of my knives become convexed over time from stones and strops anyway!

You still gonna do an outing this weekend?

MTM and the kids and I are doing another fat wood run tomorrow.

Sweet. I am expecting lots of photos.

I'll cut a nice chunk just for you!

Awesome. I need to get my 9 to ya for a sharpening. Actually, I was thinking about modding it anywhos. Maybe I'll do that first (one of these years) then send it to ya.

Ya he is a good man. We did a trade on faith a year or two ago, across the border. He came through. He's a straight shooter. Funny, or not so considering that I lost a few knives, but the only time I've been screwed over was from someone up here in Canada.

Yeah man. Hellofa fella! I've sent him stuff just cause and he's done the same for me. Definitely one of those guys you want in your corner.
