Haven't been around much lately, but I have mentioned that my mom was in hospice care after a quite long and remarkably resiliant battle with cancer.l

This afternoon, word came that she has crossed over, and many thanks to those who sent some smoke or prayers when I mentioned this before.

I'll check in when I can, I'll be away for a bit to see my dad.

Thanks again.

Not to be greedy, but a bit more smoke for my too-young-to-quite-understand nieces and my dad might help them a bit.

Thanks again.

Sorry to hear of your loss Firkin, We will keep you and your family in our prayers. :(

Smoke will be sent when I light the Sage for the others. Sorry for your loss Firkin. Losing my mom was the hardest on me.:(

I, too, lost my mother in hospice. Smoke already sent for you both.
It was the hardest day of my life.

People care. We are here.

Some days I really want to give God a piece of my mind, then I stop to realize I don't have enough of it left to spare. Sigh.

Smoke rising.

Can you please enlighten me, a newbie here, as to what the smoke might mean? I get the idea from context but if you wouldn't mind explaining more I'd appreciate it.

Firkin, my best wishes for your nieces and your dad. I would think the nieces are not supposed to understand yet. It is Nature's way I think and I am sure for the best although I don't know how that is so, I just believe it is.
