"Honest" is not the word I would use to describe a dealer who lies to cheat Bladeforums out of the dealer membership fee. If all the dealers did that there wouldn't be any Bladeforums; we wouldn't be able to pay expenses and keep the forums open.

well, as far as him lying about being a dealer, i never knew he was a dealer and he never represented himself as such to me, nor has anyone i have ever talked to who has met him told me he was a dealer. is he a dealer? wow, i dont know. my point was that everything i bought/swapped was as advertised, he shipped in a timely manner, and he was truthfull in his description of said merchandise. anything about him being a dealer/ripping off BF/etc, i guess thats between him and whoever runs/owns BF now, not me.
have heard a lot of bad about jack, some deserved i am sure, but havent ever heard this one coug (ie he is a dealer ripping of BF/etc)
imho several other folks could be in that same boat probably, depends on how ya define dealer i guess, all i can say is he never cheated me, and seemed like a good guy to me, if ya disagree, thats your opinion, everyone is entitled to 1 or 2................

It's all right here in TGB&U, but I'll summarize for you: Jack Alvarez aka Jaxurman started a business selling knives on the net and bought a lot of knives at wholesale. The business didn't do well, but he became a gold member and found he had much better luck selling knives here. He told us a lot of lies to explain why he had so many knives to sell and he fooled us for a long time because he wasn't currently buying at wholesale (he was selling old inventory), but we finally found out the real story.
