My collection is still quite meager (D4 PE and SE, Black SE Dodo, and most recently an Lime Green SE Jester). With my most recent purchase I've come across Spyderco's amazing ability to pack a lot of knife into a small package.

I've been welcomed to the world of Spyderco's Little Big Knives. The next one I'm looking at is an SS Dragonfly. Are there any others that stand out in people's minds as more functional than the rest?

By the way, I got the Jester at the Marine Specialties store in Provincetown on the Cape. They have a SE/PE pair of Meerkats and CF Delicas still around. There are also a few other models I don't recognize like a light blue handled Delica that caught my interest. Could anyone clue me in on what I have found?

Thanks Sal and everyone at Spyderco who works hard to ensure the happiness of so many customers!

It sounds like you have found a collector's treasure trove. MeerKats are getting harder to find, especially the Golden, CO made MeerKats. The CF Delicas are also not very common. The blue Delica (older models) come up on eBay once in a while, but not very often.

Depending on the prices, it might be worth loading up on new old stock Spydies. I got my Toad and Rookies from a local pawnshop that way, for way below what they were fetching on eBay.

If you can afford it, and the price is right, I'd buy the Spydies you saw, Meerkats are pretty rare.

I LOVE my Dragonfly. The ergo's are perfect for my hand. My hand just locks in there, if you know what I mean.

The other great treasure trove I have found is at an Army Navy Store in Columbia Falls Montana. It has SE/PE sets of Workers, C25's, Standards and a may have seen a couple of Rookies. I got my first Spyderco, a PE D4, there 9 months. The story is that the store used to be a Spyderco distributer, like NGK, but broke contact with Spyderco a year or two ago. They have many other treasures that would interest knife enthusiasts.

I think now is a good time to get Navigator2. Really well made knife. It is limited run and now few dealers have it on sale, with MSRP $100, you can get for around $50. It is about the same size like SS Dragonfly, just little wider and high saber grind instead of full flat.
