Were do you get these things? I have struggled with making a guard/tang solder finish I am satisfied with for quite a while. The use of the cratex wheel sounds like it would do the job. So far, all I have heard is that certain places "used to stock" these. I contacted the cratex company using email and they have been somewhat unresponsive. They wanted to know what part of the world I lived in, I replied, and haven't heard back since. I looked online at catalogs for MSC and several knife supply places - even truegrit. No luck. Any help out there?

Some decent prices and they have some good looking cratex assortments as well. I plan on picking some up. I also think the cones can help clean up plunge lines.....at least I'm gonna give it a try

Thanks for the supplier information. I got the best price from Midway. I had to backorder the X-fine wheels, though.
