So most of you know that I snapped my Camillus BK9 in half during the chopping competition at BeckerWest. I was bummed. Ethan took a look at it, and since it had snapped at the stamp, he determined that the blade more than likely had some micro fractures due to the stamping process and that is what may have caused the breakage. He promised to replace it with a new laser etched Ka-bar version. Very cool!
I contacted Ethan a couple weeks ago and gave him my contact info. Now I know Ethans a busy guy, but he took the time to chat with me and said as soon as he was off the phone with me, that he would be placing an order with Ka-bar.
Throughout this whole process I've been genuinely amazed at the personal level of customer service that Mr. Becker has provided. Again, this was an older Camillus model. Their doors have been closed for awhile. That BK9 carried no warranty. And yet Ethan took the time and personal effort to see that it was replaced.
Here's the package that arrived earlier this week:

Not only did he send the replacement BK9, he also included a BK11, some Beckerhead and BK&T Ka-bar patches! Very generous indeed.

Since I have a few patches already, I'll be doing a flash giveaway of some sorts to see that some of the newer Heads get a Beckerhead patch. 
