So most of you know that I snapped my Camillus BK9 in half during the chopping competition at BeckerWest. I was bummed. Ethan took a look at it, and since it had snapped at the stamp, he determined that the blade more than likely had some micro fractures due to the stamping process and that is what may have caused the breakage. He promised to replace it with a new laser etched Ka-bar version. Very cool!
I contacted Ethan a couple weeks ago and gave him my contact info. Now I know Ethans a busy guy, but he took the time to chat with me and said as soon as he was off the phone with me, that he would be placing an order with Ka-bar.
Throughout this whole process I've been genuinely amazed at the personal level of customer service that Mr. Becker has provided. Again, this was an older Camillus model. Their doors have been closed for awhile. That BK9 carried no warranty. And yet Ethan took the time and personal effort to see that it was replaced.
Here's the package that arrived earlier this week:







Not only did he send the replacement BK9, he also included a BK11, some Beckerhead and BK&T Ka-bar patches! Very generous indeed.

Since I have a few patches already, I'll be doing a flash giveaway of some sorts to see that some of the newer Heads get a Beckerhead patch. 
 
Sweet man, this is why I love being a BH!....on another note...where can I get some of those patches!? I've wanted one for so long
 
Great thing Ethan did there. And an 11 too??? Badass...

I'll be looking for that flash giveaway...still haven't scored one of those yet. Wish there was another run of SS Beckerhead bottles out there. We need to get some more of those going again.
 
Cool, He sent me a goody box after I met him at SMKW this October with I bottle and $50+ worth of cord and patches and other survival stuff. Cool.

Very classy move on the part of both Ethan and KaBar to replace a knife that was made by another manufacturer.

And that is why I am a life long Beckerhead.... thumbs up E .... going to fondle my new 7 now... lol

My wife says that the only two times I've smiled in the last year were the two times I was standing next to Ethan.

Very nice treatment from Da Man. This is what I sussed out right away about this place and the BK&T boss and his tools; the very reason I wanted to become a Beckerhead. I'll be looking for that GAW as well.
 
That's what makes this place so cool. Ethan's one of those people you tell your kids about someday. (And of course I mean that in a good way . . . ;) )

It's things like this that make me proud to be a Beckerhead. I hope I get to meet Uncle E one day and shake the man's hand, truly a class act. Congrats on the new arrivals Jonny, enjoy them!
