A couple weeks ago I joined BF and asked for help choosing a knife. I decided to go with the Kershaw Lahar and was able to pick one up here on The Exchange. I just wanted to thank everyone for the advice and my experience on this forum has exceeded any expectations I would have for a forum (BF can be addicting). I have had the knife for 2 days so far and have carried it at work exclusively (haven't been anywhere else but home). When I first opened the package I thought I may have made a mistake in choosing the Lahar because of size and weight. I have not noticed it in my pocket at work and doubt I will outside of work. At work I have most of the gear you see on any LEO (sans baton and taser) and off duty I IWB carry a 45 XDS, so I would be surprised if the 5.? oz was noticeable. I haven't really used the knife much at this point, but I've noticed I reach for it when I would usually rip something open or use scissors. I love the G-10 on the Lahar. Idk if most companies do their G10 like what's on the Lahar, but it is exactly what I was wanting. Thanks again.

Ahhh yes, Bladeforms Dot Com....

Ask what knife you need, and BFC members will recommend it to you...

And in the Exchange, they'll sell it to you...

And over at Knifemaker's services, they'll embellish it, tune it, and hone it to a razor's edge for you...

And if you need a sheath for it, they'll make a beautiful one for you...

I could go on, but just keep bouncing around the forums and you'll realize the rest.
 
I read your earlier thread and noticed that you had plenty of good suggestions. I'm glad you are happy with your purchase.
My Kershaw folder is excellent.
