I am not a troll, but it seems you guys here in general are sure defensive. I was just curious as I rarely see locked threads in many of the other forums.
Sorry i asked.

Paracelsus,
Calm down please. I also didn't know that I had to be a proven knifeknut to ask a simple question here. No email address because I see no reason for people here to email me as of yet and I am a rather private person. Again, sorry.

Sometimes we like to take our comments to a private forum. That is why "WE" like people to supply their email contact.Just a thought.
BTW welcome to the forums.
PS:WE HATE/DISPISE TROLLS

Justknives, I am not upset. I am somewhat amused. I locked your thread because it had the potential to get ugly For you. I just thought it would serve no further good purpose leaving it open.

Again, welcome to BFC. I hope you find it an enjoyable, stimulating, fun, and educational place to hang out. Really!

Legitimate complaints about moderational policy are OK. But making your first post about a rather meaningless thread movement is kind of strange. At least to me it seems so. Some people on this board have more credibility than others because of the history of their posts. We are a community. Or a family. New people who come in here complaining about stuff often find themselves in some difficulty if enough members disagree with their post.

When another forumite started warning about the rough treatment new guys can recieve around here (and he is right), I thought it best to lock up the thread. For Your sake. No big deal. Just trying to prevent hard feelings all around.

Ask a good knife question and you will see how nicely new guys Can be welcomed. It is wonderful to see how kind and helpful people around here try to be. Even the evil despotic overpaid powermongering moderators

Hmmmmm....do I smell another lock coming?

justknives, just so you know, there was a guy that got banned here by his third post.
Just to give ya something to shoot for.

Ahahahahahahaha

Our moderators catch a lot of flack from people who disagree with their judgments, but they do a very good job and deserve to be praised more than criticized, even if they are not. You come in outta nowhere with a rhetorical question the could seem a bit harsh, not the best first impression. Try to calm down a little and focus on knives. Questioning forum policy is best done by people who are known here. It was in your best interest that your last thread was locked (it was ironic & poetic & fitting as well). Guys here can be unbelievably nice, but if you walk into a room of armed men with your guns blazing you're sure to get a few sideways glances. I'm sure you'll understand.

j/k, still though, let's give justknives the benefit of the doubt, as most everyone is entitled to, and just say welcome to the forums and we hope ya come to pop in here a couple times a day or so

Welcome to the forums justknives. I think that it would be nice if your next post had a little bit of knife content. That always seems to work better around here.
If you just want to chat the Community forum is probably a better place to do that.
We value the input of anyone that would like to take part in these forums, but you don't want to start off looking like a complainer. That can put people off.
I am not trying to be an a**hole and I really do hope you stick around and take part. You could have a lot of fun and learn a great deal about knives from a very knowledgable group. I know that I have. You will also learn that there are some really nice people on this forum.

Keith.

Welcome, welcome, welcome justknives!

There are some great people here and you can disagree without being disagreeable! I think the moderators do a good job, it's just that there are so many interesting aspects of knives to talk about, the board fills up quickly as it is. If we talked about everything under the sun in blade discussion, when you go to look at your post from yesterday, it will be on the last page! Just post in the appopriate forum, if you guess wrong they will give you some leeway!

Take care and please add your opinions, expertise, and knowledge to the forums! If by the slim chance you are just trying to get a rise out of people, we just do not have the time to waste on that what with all the cool new knives coming out!

Agreed all. Again sorry I sounded negative on a first post.

Knife content.....what are your opinions of the Microtech LCC da/auto. Has there been any problems with it? Any spring breakage? Any info is appreciated.

I have one sitting around with a loose bolster, but I think it is a great knife anyway.Know a lot of guys that swear by them.I don't think you will go wrong.

Lets be done with this thread too.

justknives, please start a new thread about the LCC knife. There are a lot of folks around who would love to talk about it. Sorry to lock you up twice. But I think everyone understands each other now, so there is no purpose to continuing this particular thread. Please email me if you want to talk. Welcome to BFC, sorry about the 'warm' welcome.
