Thanks for sharing those pics, and for the nice comments, everyone. It was an interesting build. The bolsters were all chewed up on it, so I tried to square things up without removing too much.

The story was a neat one. I really enjoy working on projects with a sentimental connection. It's very humbling and an honor also to be trusted with these kind of mods.
 
That is awwesome. Nice knife and a good story. The sort of thing to hand down through the generations.
