Thanks Jon Slider & Paul Hilborn a double dose of generosity.

A very heartwarming tale to wake up to. That's put me in a great mood for the day :)

Paul, that's a neat old Tobacco Box, I think that is just great-nice thinking going into that gift! and Jon, wow-what a beautiful knife you have gifted, not that you can get these Barlows much better - but when a sentimental meaning comes with the knife-just superb!
Well done to both of you guys, and good on you Pete!

Exactly what I had hoped for. It is an honor to contribute to nurturing your family, from 3000 miles away. I'm out of dates :-)...

The recognition was immediate and humorous; I, too, tend to sniff things like a weirdo be acutely aware of, and curious about, how things smell and consider how something smells an important distinctive, for good or for bad.

Okay, so there's no good way to say it!

In the children-as-mirrors department, I was teaching my youngest daughter how to help with laundry back in the day when I realized I was watching her pick up each item of [clean!] clothing and give it a perfunctory Sniff before placing it in an appropriate pile. She had no idea what she was sniffing for, just that: that's how you do it!

Um, oops. :o Course correction (mine).

Congrats again on the fine knives, and the good company. :)

Always grand to get a surprise!

I'm very keen on dried fruits of all kinds, a healthy item for your daughter too! A Sheepfoot will make a fine slicer of CAKE made from dried fruits for that matter:D

Regards, Will
