Thanks to All!

I'm a "newbie" on Blade Forums and just wanted to thank the originators, moderators, and all the users. The info I've found has helped me tremendously in picking out three knives and sharpening equipment.

Hope I can pay you all back some day with knowledge I have.

Have you noticed that time flies like the wind, but fruit flies like bananas ?

roshi,

Well, tell us what 3 knives that you picked-out, and we'll tell you which ones that you NEED to get next.

PS...Did you get a Spyderco Sharpmaker to keep your knives sharp with? The Sharpmaker is excellent.

I got the William Henry T12-CF Spearpoint that I've been coveting for a long time. Not only was I encouraged by the comments on the WH knives by you all but also found it for $ 50 under list through Blade Forums. It will do nice for more formal outings.

Then I bought myself a BM Ares Axis lock on sale (therefore saving my wife money, right?)for Father's day. I thought the green/black color scales would look less agressive for wear in the mall.

Then I was kidnapped by Sebenzanistas and forced to order a small Sebenza with stone washed blade. I think this will be my EDC knife.

After researching past Forums and agonizing for a while I ordered a SKARB sharpening system which I felt was better for the larger fixed blade knives I already have (I''ve never been happy with the Lansky system for big knives). You all made that a tough choice since you are split between the SKARB, the EdgePrp Apex, and the Spyderco Sharpmaker.

So what should I look for next?

Seriously, I'm going to enjoy my three new aquisitions for few days, then resharpen all my fixed blade knives with the SKARB, before I start thinking about more knives. That means next week I guess.

roshi,

Your next knife MUST be a REKAT Sifu! I have 2 of 'em (so far), and they are very well-made, stout MONSTERS, that scare the livin' sh*t out of sheeple.

Sounds like a plan, Dann!

Sifus are nice! So are Spydies...

Oh heck, lots of nice knives, and I saw Newt Livesay was making more Sandbar Bowies. I kinda want one. No frills, just blade and handle, it seems.

Take your time, Roshi. Something will occur to you!

Karl
