Thanks to BladeForums, I found Tom Krein's re-grind and the one-and-only STR. Tom re-ground my HD-7 and STR, made 3 stand-offs for it. This is a Special folder! Anyone can chime-in with a: Because of BladeForums, story.

Thanks to BladeForums, I know more than a few people who like knives.

Thanks to Bladeforums I know there are other knife enthusiasts(I thought I was weird for awhile:confused:),because I've yet to find a friend or family member that shares my passion.

It's weird isn't it, there are LOTS of people out there who like knives, even quite a few in Oz, but apart from a couple of knifemakers I've met and the people on forums, I've never run into anyone in the flesh, so to speak, that has much interest in them.

Knife making, at least quality knife making, is a nearly lost art. That's why I am quick to put aside any disagreements I may have with certain makers. Ultimately, we're in the same business, and have the same aims.

My life has been enriched by bladeforums. Honestly, I've met people I hope to know for life from here!

thanks for starting this rolf.

Thanks Lycosa. This is agreat thread because I have thirst and hunger for knives that this forums and it's very fine people help to feed. I have loved knives since I was a kid. I have learned a lot from these forums. And I would have never found Tom Krein and his knives and his AMAZING ability to reground a knife. And the info that STR has provided is terrific. The man is a wealth of info along with making and refining knives. Also, found great online places to buy knives and learn about them.

because of bladeforums, I found out about all these great brands I had never heard of, bark river, spyderco, fallkniven etc. I used to think that buck, gerber and kershaw were the best there were,

Thanks to bladeforums, I stoped buying flashlights and started buying more knives... well not really stoped but slowed down and the knives just got nicer.

Thanks to bladeforums I realized I was a addict and then realized that I'm happy this way:D

If it weren't for bladeforums, I would have missed out on alot of great knives and deals. It has been a great way for me to pass the time while waiting on a new knife as well :).

Bladeforums introduced me to the world of custom knives.......and I haven't looked back since (at least with fixed blades! :D)

I have made a lot of friends, that I hope to keep for a long time. :D:thumbup:
